Day 02 of 07

Build your reusable project brief

Goal: Create a reusable brief template so every future build starts with the same strong structure.

What to do

01

Write your business context in plain English

Describe what you do, who you help, and what kinds of things you want to build with AI in 2 to 3 sentences.

02

Generate the brief template

Ask AI to create a simple project brief template with the fields you will reuse every time you start something new.

Help me create a Project Brief template I can use every time I start a new project with an AI coding agent. My business context: [describe what you do in 2-3 sentences]. My technical level: Non-technical entrepreneur. Create a simple template with: 1. What I'm building, 2. Who it's for, 3. Must-have features, 4. Must NOT include, 5. Look and feel, 6. Success = when... Fill in an example to show me how it works.
03

Fill one real example brief

Use the template immediately for one project you actually want to build, even if it is small.

04

Define what success means

Write a simple success test for the project. Example: "Success means I can open the page, read the headline clearly, and submit the form."

05

Save the template somewhere easy to reuse

Put the blank template and the filled example in one note, doc, or file you can find quickly before any build session.

Expected result

You have a reusable project brief template and one filled-out example ready for a real build session.

Key takeaway

  • A strong brief saves more time than a clever prompt.
  • Your AI needs boundaries, priorities, and a clear definition of done.
  • Reuse beats reinvention.
